This weekend we had our first board meeting. We spent 3 hours discussing all the work we had done in the last month. Finalizing policies and procedures, adding and subtracting application requirements, and boldly going where no man or woman has gone before...
Lots of trial and error with website hosts for client management. We want to make sure our foundation doesn't have any cracks before we publish it live to the world.
I can tell you in my 3 hours of going over detail after detail, the amount of love and passion in the room was billowing. I can't thank the team enough for their time spent picking out the big and little fixes for each section of discussion. You all out there should be excited and lucky that so many people care to get this thing going. I know I am blown away by the commitments already being made so early in this business. I just want to say thank you to those wonderful people!
This week we ordered t-shirts, business cards, brochures, and will be prepping for upcoming festivals to get our name out there. We've had a few donations trickle in from people very dear to me. We are already getting calls in for people who are interested in becoming clients and volunteers. YAY! This is only the beginning. So much more to be done but the team as a whole is kicking butt!
